The Big West Conference

The theme of this year's Big West Conference league play should be (hopefully): "The Competition for Second Place." In other words, I'm confident that UCSB should smack around it's fellow conference buddies in a manner that gives them hope to "win" second place in the conference.



Apparently, the coaches and the media agree with me (or is it the other way around). Let's take a look at the voting from each respective group.

Interestingly, UCSB, Cal Poly, Fullerton, and LBSU received first place votes. The Long Beach Press Telegram writers smoked themselves out on this one. Good job guys you picked the 7th place team to finish first. I hope you're wrong.
